Stress, a hectic lifestyle or bad diet can lead to a build-up of toxic acids in our body.
If these acids can not be sufficiently drained away, the body is forced to find another way to get rid of them in order to maintain an optimal metabolism. In such cases, the body begins to store the acids in the connective tissues, which due to their physical consistency make them particularly predisposed to the absorption of acid. Such absorption eventually leads to the loss of elasticity and flexibility in the connective tissue, joints and muscles.
If the body has to cope with a high level of acidity for a longer period, it can eventually lead to chronic acidaemia during which the bodies own reserves (particularly minerals from the bones) are used up.
