Rheumatism
The word ”rheumatism“ comes from the Greek language and describes a burning pain. In the past, joint diseases in general were described using the term rheumatism. Today, 50 individual clinical pictures are distinguished. The best known of these are the arthroses, rheumatoid arthritis, gout or tennis elbow. Rheumatic ailments affect more than just the elderly. They can arise even in children and also in young adults. In the effort to reduce the pain by natural means and in the search for naturally based therapeutic agents scientists have also made discoveries which are found in the oceans. The extract from the New Zealand’s green-lipped mussel therefore represents a possible alternative to reduce the pain of rheumatism, due to its inflammation inhibiting and cartilage protecting action.
