Skin and nails
The skin is the largest organ of the human body. The tasks that skin carries out, among others, are mechanical and immunological protection from the external environment as well as the regulation of heat balance. At the same time, the skin also serves as a tactile and sense organ.
Hair and nails are so-called accessory skin structures. Sebaceous glands are located together with hair and protect skin from drying out. Nails protect fingertips and support the gripping function.
